Hatch, and Birdsey Wilcox, 1845-1853; citations and receipt for probate of Cadwaller's will, 1864; two letters to his daughters Catharine and Mary, undated; notice of publication of a new daily Buffalo newspaper, 20 Sept. 1839; various invitations; signatures of Cadwallader; and a newspaper notice of his death, 9 Feb. 1864.

Thomas Proctor, a native of Ireland who commanded the Pennsylvania artillery during the Revolutionary War, and John Cadwallader, Baltimore attorney; son of John Cadwallader II and Catharine Proctor of Huntingdon, Pa. Moved to Lockport, N.Y. in 1828 and started the Niagara courier as an anti-Masonic newspaper. He also co-published the Daily Buffalo journal, and served as Buffalo city clerk and comptroller.
